Horse World Expo in PA
One of the aspects of education that Delaware Valley College promotes is experiencing as many different training techniques as possible. DVC encourages us to take lessons and/or participate in clinics outside of school. So any time I am able to ride outside of class I am able to write a paper about my experiences and recieve extra credit in some of my classes :-)!! Sooo tomorrow (Friday) I will be riding with Michael Richardson at Horse World Expo from 5:00-6:00. The clinic is on gymnastics, so it should be fun. I am riding my own horse, Dee Dee, a thoroughbred who I have been riding for six years. If you are going to be there be sure to take the time to watch, I rode with Micheal Richardson in Maryland, he puts on a great show! If you are not able to attend the clinics in PA I will write about my experience so be sure to tune in to hear about the ride!

I was hoping to go to the expo, but my plans have changed. I cant wait to hear about you riding there. Sounds pretty cool.
Hi Sara,
I am trying to get a summer internship with Phelps Media Group, a public relations firm with clients ranging from Beacon Hill to the USET to Chris Kappler and Georgina Bloomberg... you get the idea. They've asked me to write an article, sort of a try-out, about the hunter-jumper world. Here is what I pitched to them:
"Off to College: To Ride or Not To Ride?" - As their junior years end and they start their journey toward higher education many student-riders are faced with deciding the fate of their riding life (at least for the next four years). Should I bring my horse? Should I join the equestrian team? Or focus on schoolwork? Should I just "take what I can get" with a local barn? Or commute an hour to an A-circuit trainer? Will I survive college with/without horses!? etc...
I was wondering if you would be interested in being interviewed for my story. I'm just in the beginning phase of this project but I wanted to get a feel for how many people would be willing to talk about their experiences. Let me know. Thanks so much!

I made it to PA and was able to watch your ride. It was really fun to see you in person. You looked like you had a great time. Do you ever get nervous riding in front of such a large crowd. People were clapping and the arena was so big, I would have been so intimidated riding in front of such a large audience. I'm guessing the clapping and noise doesn't bother your horse?
